Service Description

Making and mixing beats means that you can create what you like to hear the most, how you want it to sound. This always starts with a feeling, where you create or find sounds that match that feeling. Self-confidence is also central here. We start this workshop with the basics of a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), in this case Fruity Loops, where we gradually expand to fully operating plug-ins yourself to reach the point where you can make and mix your beats independently! After a few sessions, we will also visit professional studios in Amsterdam. In this workshop we will cover the following points: • Having confidence in your idea and being able to translate this to the DAW • Creating, recording and editing melodies • Perfecting sound selection • Sampling (digital and analogue) • Creating and analysing drum patterns • Creating arrangements and different sections • Combining different genres • Developing your own style • Working with and accompanying musicians • Working with and accompanying vocalists • Operating basic and advanced plug-ins • Mixing a beat • Mixing vocals • Letting go of your basic knowledge to try new things • Creating your own working method • Working in different professional studios • Getting satisfaction from small steps, practice makes perfect • Enjoying your projects How to book a session: • Read the privacy statement before booking • Everyone under the age of 18 must bring a parent/guardian to the first workshop • Choose your date and time • Make sure you have fun
